String


An invisible string tangled our hearts,

For reasons we cannot comprehend.

A complicated web

Both of us tried to remove

But, neither the sharpest pair of scissors on earth could cut it

Nor the strongest arms could break.

The harder we pull the strings,

The tighter it gets.

We tried and tried to loosen the knots

And failed in every attempt.

We both know we’re doing it wrong.

And yet, we never stopped.

Until one day, we finally realized…

That we never really want to be untangled.
